The Impact of Shame
When a mother gives her child up she will feel guilt. A family should NOT shame these women. The guilt alone will eat a person up. I have been up front that I do not like adoption and I am still trying to understand why mothers do it but to shame them on top of it is wrong. They will have to live with the guilt as a mother would have already. The way I feel is if a family mother shames the other family for putting their child up for adoption maybe they should have adopted the child themselves or helped raised them. Especially parents. No parent should ever let their daughter go through adoption themselves either -Elizabeth
